When life gets tough and confusing, go back to the basics. We often get so caught up in society and our own selves that we forget about basic manners and self care. When in doubt, go back to what you learned in kindergarten.
1. Share everything.
Nothing is really completely ours. Share your food with those in need, give a compliment, and play well with others.
2. Play fair.
Don't be that person that has to control every single thing. Take others into consideration and be willing to compromise.
3. Don't hit people.
Warring against your peers isn't a way to solve problems. Settle disagreements without hurting others.
4. Put things back where you found them.
Keeping yours and others things organized will go a long way. It's much easier to find what you're looking for if your space is clean.
5. Clean up after yourself.
Real life doesn't have a janitor or a maid.
6. Say you're sorry when you hurt someone.
Just apologize, no matter if you feel like you should or not. It's better to admit you were wrong than lose someone you care about.
7. Wash your hands before you eat.
You'll prevent becoming ill yourself or spreading other germs. Wash your hands. Sing the ABC's while you wash and get between your fingers and under your nails.
8. Cookies and milk are always a good choice.
Sometimes you just need some warm fresh baked cookies dipped in cold (almond) milk.
9. Take a nap every afternoon.
You'll thank me for this one.
10. All good things come to an end.
Goldfish, family, friendships, and the little seed you tried to grow—we all pass eventually. Understand that this is nature. Make your life worth celebrating.
