From class to homework to extracurricular activities to trying to have a social life, college can be hard. I've learned that taking a break from your responsibilities for at least a couple of hours is healthy. Soaking in a warm, hot bath with a Lush bomb (if you live in an apartment or house) while sipping on some yummy beverage is the key, in my opinion, to helping you survive school.
I believe that being a millennial means I shouldn't take a break on anything, that I should be working on something constantly. College is supposed to be a learning experience. It's also supposed to be the best four years of your life. Here are a couple of ideas to detach yourself from your laptop or textbook:
1. Cook/bake something that you've been craving or wanting to try
2. Light some candles and grab a good book
3. Start a new Netflix series that looks interesting
4. Do some kind of craft that you can put up in your room
5. Ask some friends to go on a hike
6. Snuggle up in bed and just take a little nap (you deserve it)
Everyone needs some down time away from academics or anything college related. Next time you're feeling overwhelmed try one of these ideas! I promise it might really help you.
