"Friends" is a classic television show, and is personally one of my favorite shows. I’ve seen every episode multiple times and can watch them over and over and never get tired of them. Watching the show as much as I do, it’s almost normal to wish that I had a friend group as close as they are. They’re constantly together and never get tired of one another. However, after examining my friends and their personalities, I’ve realized I have my own group just like that and it doesn’t matter if they all don’t know each other. In fact, every person has a friend in their life that represents each of these individual characters.
Monica Geller - aka The One Who is Way Too Neat
So, we may not have a friend who is an impulsive cleaner, but they could be many other things. They could obsessively make sure all their clothes are color coordinated. They could make sure everything they own is in alphabetical order. They could be one of those people that makes a space for everything and makes sure that everything stays in its space. Although they may be obnoxious at times, you can’t help but love them. And if you look on the bright side, you’ll never have a wrinkly shirt or a strand hair laying on your back because this is the friend that will make sure you don’t go out in public looking a smidge dirty, or even sitting in your house a smidge dirty.
Ross Geller - aka The One Who is Smart, Yet Sometimes Obnoxious
This guy is totally into what they’re doing and always up on the news and will sit there and tell you about a new discovery in space, even though it’s pretty clear that you don’t give a damn. Even though he is super smart and you know he’s going places, he’s also one of those obnoxious people that always correct you if you say something wrong, spell something wrong, or if you’re just wrong. Most people can comprehend what you’re saying if you say something wrong. However, this guy will be the one to point out that you said it wrong. Always remember kids, "Y-O-U-R is your, and you are is Y-O-U *apostrophe* “R-E." Don’t get it wrong. Also be advised to not write them a letter with incorrect grammar. They’ll just fall asleep and have to claim that they were on a break multiple times and he still believes he didn’t cheat.
Phoebe Buffay - The One Who is Out There
Although no one understands this person and they may have had a rough upbringing, this person is the most eccentric yet fascinating person that you have come in contact with ever. They’re very special to you, and your friend group and your life would never be the same without them. Life would be nothing without their "Christmas jingle that they wrote with your name and all the names of your friends(they even made it rhyme!) So what if their first husband was gay, or if their biggest song was one about a smelly cat? And no one really cares that she was pregnant with her brother's triplets?" This person is such a gift to you, that you cherish their positivity and can always depend on them to make things seem bright, even if there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Chandler Bing - The One Who is a Ball of Sarcasm
This person is the greatest person to be around hands down (and I’m not only saying this because I am literally the female version of Chandler Bing). This person has the ability to make you look like an idiot without you even realizing it unless you’re quick witted. It may feel that sometimes it’s hard to talk to them since all they do is shoot out sarcasm and say they’re terrible at giving advice. These people actually love the deepest and are very sensitive, so you have to take care. When they find the right person, they put their fear of love and getting hurt on the line. "Could that BE any more cute?!"
Rachel Green - The One Who is a Changed Woman
So when you first meet a Rachel, you instinct is to automatically not like her because she’s spoiled. She has your dad give her money whenever she needs it, so who needs a job? She even has her own yacht and her dad offers to buy her things even when she leaves her husband at the alter(who was also rich, may I add). She tells her dad she doesn’t want his help anymore, and then instantly regrets it because she doesn’t know how she’ll survive. With a little help from her friends, however, she’s taught how to actually human. She saves money, she lives on a budget, and she becomes likable. At first, she’s a little gullible to everything, but that would just suck the fun out of everything, wouldn’t it?
Joey Tribbiani - The One Who is a Little Stupid
This person is just as equally awesome to be around as the sarcastic one, because ironically, they’re the closest of friends and are always there for each other. Even though this person’s brain may be a little bit too empty, this person is an amazing friend. They’d do anything to defend you if anyone hurt you, and they’re there to help you dry your tears if you’ve been hurt. This person may eat a lot of food and drink a lot of beer, but somehow they have the most action. So I guess it’s true when people say beauty before brains...
Go out there and embrace your friends. They’re the only ones who aren’t family that accept you for who you are, no matter how much you annoy each other and/or argue.
