If you haven't heard of the enneagram yet, you might just live under a rock. The enneagram is a personality typing model that is all the rage right now, and for good reason. This tool helps people realize their true self and encourages personal growth. From personal experience, it's incredibly accurate and helpful. As a nine on the enneagram, these are things I know to be true about myself, and if you resonate with most of these, there's a good chance you're a nine as well!

1. "I don't care, whatever you want to do."

Nines are peacemakers, which means we long for harmony in all situations we find ourselves in. When we say we don't care, we usually mean it. As long as the people we're around are happy, so are we (for the most part).

2. Always being wrapped in a blanket, even if you're not actually cold.

We just wanna be comfy. Like all the time.

3. "I need coffee."

These words come from our mouths often, or we're at least thinking it. Nines have the lowest energy level out of all types on the enneagram, so the more caffeine, the better.

4. Naps for days.

Again, low energy level so give us a break.

5. People assume you're shy.

Nines are often mis-identified as shy simply because of our incredible listening abilities. Being a good listener and only speaking when we have something meaningful to say doesn't always mean we're shy.

6. The thought of stress stresses you out.

When something seems stressful, or like it has the potential to be stressful, nines either retreat or find a way around it.

7. You're a big fan of girls night in.

We're home bodies. A night in with wine and girl talk is often more appealing than a night out on the town.

8. "You're such a great listener."

We know. If you want to feel heard, befriend a nine. We may not always have the best advice, but sometimes all you need is someone to listen.

9. Saying you're busy when you really plan on getting cozy and watching Netflix.

Sometimes (actually a lot of times) nines just need their relaxation time. It's how we are able to function as actual human beings.
