It’s that time of the school year where classes are starting to wrap up and finals are just around the corner. Students are having mental breakdowns in the library and it’s totally normal to see someone cry on the quiet floor of the library because you just understand their pain. And all you can think about is passing all your final exams and the summer approaching with no responsibilities.
Here is your typical end of semester feels as told by "The Office:"
You realize that you have to leave all of your best friends for three months and don’t know if you will be able to survive without them. You can barely be away from your friends for one whole day, let alone all summer long. You soon realize that the boredom is about to set in real quick, and you’re already planning dates to meet up with your friends from school.
Your professors decide to crunch in all this material last minute and for you to know all of it for the final. Yup, let me just remember 12 chapters for one comprehensive final exam; seems reasonable. And you suddenly realize that your life is over and college is impossible.
Your parents start asking about your plans for the summer and if you have a job to work while you’re home. This is the very last thing on your mind and all you want is for everyone to stop asking questions and for life to be OK. Summer seems like years away when you have six finals to study for and 10-page papers to write.
You decide that the only solution to all of your stress and anxiety is to stress eat everything in sight. Along with a few mental breakdowns after binge eating some Chipotle, Wendy's, Jimmy Johns, Insomnia Cookies, you name it.
But once all your classes are done and finals are over... you’re ready to celebrate with your best friends and take on yet another year of college, just to do it all over again.
So if you are like me and are already starting to stress about the end of the semester coming up, just remember that in the end it will all be OK.
