10 Emotions That Every Greek Girl Feels During Big/Little Week

From the outside, us sorority girls may seem like we come from a different planet. We walk around yelling chants and songs while also wearing tutus all in the name of sisterhood. In the midsts of all the other crazy fun stuff we do for sorority life, one of my favorite traditions is Big-Little Week

Big-Little Week consists of one of the older sisters (Big) in the sorority getting a new member (Little) to take under their wing. All week long the Bigs know who their Little is, but the Littles have no idea who their Big is. For the rest of the week, Littles get surprised with a bunch of presents such as candy, crafts, t-shirts, and clues as to who their Big is.

Let me just tell you now, Big-Little Week brings out your inner Nancy Drew. Having to wait a whole week to find out who your Big is can be excruciatingly long.

So here are 10 Emotions that both Big and Littles can both relate to during Big Little Week!

1. Nervousness

2. Excitement

Of all the emotions to experience, you're mostly experiencing the excitement. Excitement because of all the gifts from your Big, excitement that you're one day closer to finding out who your Big is, and excitement because you think you're figuring out all of the clues but in reality, you're really not.

3. Love

Even though you don't know who your Big is yet, you already love them so much. As Hannah, a fellow AST sister states, "I can't wait to punch my Big in the face with my love."

4. Sadness

Sadness because your Big fooled you so well into thinking that they weren't your Big by throwing you off with some good-ass clues.

5. Overwhelmed

Big-Little Week is so overwhelming with all the clues and gifts, that all you want to do is sleep until Reveal Day.

6. Happiness

Happiness because your Big puts a lot of effort into your gifts, and you can see all their hard work which just shows how much they really love you.

7. Suprised


It's finally Reveal Day and you finally find out who your Big is!

8. Devotion

Your Big is now stuck with you forever and you are now stuck with them forever, in the best way possible!

9. Overjoyed

Because you just love your Big so much and you can't wait to make memories with them!

10. Grateful

Grateful because you have something such a special person in your life.
