There's no way to fill idle time quite like online shopping, where you shop in a fantasy world with a bottomless wallet. Suddenly you're a fashionista filling your shopping bag with what you wish your style would look like. Unfortunately, reality comes swooping in, and suddenly you're back to where you began: with a full wallet, but an empty closet.
1. Excitement.
All you need to type is the "www." and the first letter of your favorite store and the computer fills the rest in for you. It's go time.
2. Stress.
How will you ever manage to scroll through all 30 pages of shoes? And the 20 pages of dresses? Oh, and don't forget the infinite pages of accessories!
3. The plan.
You'll go from top to bottom: first tops, then bottoms, then dresses and rompers, then shoes and accessories. The perfect plan. Deep breath. Now, it's really go time.
4. The high.
It's like an all-you-can-eat buffet for your closet. There's absolutely no time for noticing prices.
5. The realization.
6. The fall.
7. Denial.
Asking yourself, "Do I really need to go grocery shopping this week?" because who needs food if you look fabulous, right?
8. Acceptance.
You do. You need that food if you want any chance of making it to the weekend. Time to destroy all your hopes and dreams.
9. The clothing funeral.
Delete. Delete. Delete. R.I.P to that elegant maxi dress and matching wedges you totally could've worn if only your cousin finally got married. R.I.P to that intricately beautiful spring break bathing suit that you would've worn if you had saved up enough money to go to Mexico with your friends. Here comes the ugly crying face. It just hurts so much. Why must clothes be so expensive and beautiful?
