This week I finished an entire series on Netflix in about four days. I’m not proud of my binge-watching behavior, but who am I kidding? I’m going to do it again. I finished the first series of "Stranger Things" and if you haven’t seen it already, stop reading this and go watch it. Seriously, it's that good. I don’t know about you, but when I finish binge-watching a series and there’s nothing else to watch, it’s like I go through a brief period of grief. Okay, maybe that’s a bit dramatic and it's totally first world problems, but there's emotional stages to this stuff people. Here what goes through my mind when I start and finish a TV series (usually in less than four days — I have no self-control).
1. I’m Bored.
With just two words, it begins.
2. What show should I watch?
Commence the Netflix surfing.
3. Hmm I’ll just watch one episode.
Yeah, keep telling yourself that.
4. Five episodes in…
Well, I can’t stop now.
5. This is the best show EVER.
Oh no, only one episode left.
6. Is it really over?
Yes, it really is over. Maybe you should have watched one episode a day like a normal human being, instead of four.
7. What do I do now?
Congratulations, you just wasted hours (days?) of your time and now you realize you have nothing else to do. Maybe leave the dark abyss that has become your room and socialize? Just a thought.
8. Shame. Complete shame.
I really can’t believe I just finished an entire series (maybe two) in such a short amount of time. I have problems.
9. Who am I kidding? I’m going to do it again.
Yes, yes you are.
10. I can’t stop thinking about (insert character name here).
If you watched "Stranger Things" too, you probably can’t stop thinking of Eleven's fate either.
11. Ooh this new show looks good!
And the cycle repeats itself.
