My name is Ryan Crum and this is your Election Update. Hillary Clinton has been taking massive amounts of negative press and pressure because of her stumble as she was leaving the 9/11 Memorial Event. I hadn’t even heard of the situation until finding upwards of 1,000 photoshopped images that displayed her looking like a monster on the brink of an inevitable death. I was entirely unaware of the rule that presidential candidates were not allowed to become sick during a campaign, so I decided to look it up just to be sure she wasn’t violating any code of conduct for her immune system needing a few minutes to breathe. She wasn’t.
If you are like most Americans, you want two entirely different candidates for president, and quite frankly it wouldn’t be the worst thing. However, these are the two people WE selected to represent the parties, and let's be clear- she is not dying, she is thriving. I understand the concern with the ages of the two candidates, but lack the ability to believe that Trump would receive the same harassment for having a health issue- even though he is older than Clinton. I for one am thrilled Hillary chose to take a few days off and rest because that is what a normal person does when they are diagnosed with Pneumonia.
This is Clinton's race to lose and so far she has done absolutely everything correct. I never wrote an article on her biggest victory but his name is Tim Kaine. After selecting him as her Vice Presidential nominee I believed the race was over. However, the general population just doesn’t like Clinton. She has lost their trust more than once and this bout of illness adds to that uneasiness surrounding her presidency.
I cannot offer a solution to peoples’ inability to decide whom they wish to vote for, but it worries me that after this health scare I have heard more and more individuals say the words, “I am not voting this year.” When we don’t vote, we end up with candidates and winner that we do not want and have zero right to complain about the outcome.
The polls are becoming closer and closer and I encourage all of my readers to take a look at the platform on Clinton’s and Trump’s websites alike, if you can find any on Trumps that is, and decide who fits your ideals the best. The most unbiased and necessary advice I have is to vote. Every single opinion and vote matters, so do not let yours go to waste to prove something because it will go entirely unheard.
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump neither one are going to let anything stop them from reaching success in November. Please, do not think that Clinton is out because she fell ill. We know her far better than that at this point and recognize that she NEVER gives up, and even if you do not particularly like her, you have to admire her for that reason alone.
