If I had to choose only one food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be eggs. I love eggs. Like I really love eggs. Here are five reasons why.
1. There are endless ways to cook eggs
How do you want your eggs cooked? Poached, scrambled, over easy, over hard, sunny side up, hard boiled, omelette style? The never-ending list of how to make eggs makes this food the best. You never get bored with eggs. They are unique every time you make them! You can also add meats, cheeses, and vegetables to add more variety.
2. Eggs are CHEAP
A dozen eggs are about $3.00 where I live. This is a super cheap meal. If you eat two eggs as a meal, that meal costs about 50 cents, which nowadays is a steal for such a nutritious and satisfying meal. Tell me you can find a better option than this – not vegetables, they do not have high protein values.
3. There was a pop-up in New York City for eggs
Egg House was a pop-up in New York City in 2018. This pop-up featured different scenes perfect for a photograph! Not many foods get pop-ups and eggs got one in the best city in the world! Although it has closed now, it featured scenes such as the foyer, the kitchen, the garden, the pool, and the secret room. Here is a link to the pop-up.
4. Eggs are NUTRITIOUS
Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet. They contain vitamins, minerals, proteins, and good fats while improving your cholesterol profile. They also contain choline which is a very important nutrient for the brain. Choline is required to synthesize the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. It is also an important component of cell membranes. Eggs also contain 21 amino acids which are important to help build protein in the body. 9 of the amino acids found in eggs cannot be produced by the human body and are very important.
5. Eggs are a HUGE component to almost every recipe
This about that chocolate cake you love. Yea, eggs are necessary to make that cake. Without eggs, most baking would not be able to occur. Your favorite dessert would not exist. What a sad world it would be without eggs.
