The Effects Of Detoxification On The Body
Mohammed Mohammed

A holistic remedy to get the human physique running at optimal levels is total body cleansing. It removes everyday toxins allowing a fuller usage of organs. It is therefore recommended to do so before beginning treatments such as fertility or detox.

According to Cindy Papp, a certified nutritional counselor at articlebase.com, the body receives toxins every day from everything around us. This includes food, pollution, medication, and stress. The outcome of this is the rise in auto immune diseases, chronic diseases, and obesity because the body is no longer removing all of the toxins that it takes in. “The slowing of these systems and their fluids [also] results in kidney stones, gall stones, liver diseases, toxemia, food allergies, premature aging and chronic disease”.

A company that holistically treats cases like this is a natural fertility company called Dollyhams health. They state that many people do not have to give up on naturally conceiving a child. For many women struggling with fertility the problem is in the toxins, making their bodies unbalanced and therefore infertile. They use natural remedies and often request that couples do a total cleanse, so the treatments can have the full intended effect of “pregnancy and longevity”.

Other benefits include, “Body cleansing has many benefits beyond feeling great and losing weight.” According to Papp, “A proper body cleanse can give your skin a healthy glow, clear your mind, have an anti-aging effect, and even help you recover lost health”.

Detoxing is more than just purging according to Naturopathic Doctor and Herbalist Dr. Linda Page, the author of Healthy Healing’s Detoxification. In her interview with Dennis Hughes at encognitive.com. “Detoxing means clearing out the toxins in our systems, and it means neutralizing the acid/alkaline balance of our bodies." This is far more important than we may think because an acid system sets up an environment for many diseases”.

It is an age old healing practice that has been the most effective to this day. Actively detoxing helps the body do what it already does on a daily basis. It helps push out things that otherwise get stuck and aren’t pushed out naturally, either because the body can no longer keep up the with the sheer amount of work or because the body does not even recognize some toxins.

There are many ways to detox, but the main component is a lifestyle change where a series of short detoxes work better than a long detox. Another misconception is that water detoxes. The body does not receive enough nutrients from that, and the body is dumping everything too fast. “You can re-poison yourself. Ayurveda uses the vegetable juice diet as a way to work on body cleansing, and I think this is the way to go. They also popularized yoga and deep breathing. "Deep breathing can really enhance a cleanse”, said Dr. Page.

That along with a protective diet can help with physical and mental health. Either way, when making a large change to the body the best way to do so is with extensive research and a discussion with your doctor to figure out the best route for your body.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
