Lately, my boyfriend and I have gotten really into cooking! Neither of us has very much experience in the field, but we find it so enjoyable and rewarding to prepare, make, and eat our own food. Wednesday nights are our cooking nights, where we get together and cook a whole meal, drink some wine, and watch a movie. It makes for the perfect mid-week date night!

Here are 5 recipes that you can make EASILY with your SO this Valentine's Day!

Chicken Fried Rice

We LOVE cooking this chicken fried rice recipe! It's so simple and super easy to make in advance so our meals are prepared throughout the week.

Ingredients:

Rice (white or brown), Veggies (we use carrots, peas, corn, green onions, and yellow onions), Garlic, Soy Sauce, Toasted Sesame Oil, Butter, Chicken

Sticky Shiitake Mushrooms

This is a vegan meal that both my boyfriend and I are in love with! If we could, we would eat this every single night. It's super simple and even if you don't like mushrooms you'll enjoy this dish.

Ingredients:

Shiitake Mushrooms, Cornmeal, Sesame Oil, Garlic, Ginger, Brown Sugar, Soy Sauce, Rice Wine Vinegar, Sriracha (highly recommend if you like spicy food!), Spring Onion and Sesame Seeds to garnish and served with rice!

Spaghetti with Garlic Bread

This is such a simple dish that everyone should make!

Ingredients:

Spaghetti (we use angel hair pasta instead), Baguette, Red Chili, Olive Oil, Parmesan, Parsley, Lemon Zest, Salt/Pepper

It only takes 25 minutes to make and is SO good! Check out the recipe here!

Crispy Sesame Chicken

This recipe is another staple in our pantry. Only taking 25 minutes to make, it's such an easy dish that looks really impressive!

Ingredients:

Chicken (we use boneless chicken breasts), Oil, Garlic, Flour, Cornstarch, Egg whites, Soy sauce, Apple cider vinegar, and Sesame Seeds to top! Served best with white rice.

Chicken Pot Pie

This is a southern staple dish to know how to make. It is easy and best on a cold or rainy day when you need that comfort food to get through the night.

Ingredients:

Mixed Veggies (we use a frozen bag because it's cheaper!), Cooked Chicken, Cream of chicken soup, Original Bisquick Mix (to make the crust you need this mix, eggs and milk)

This recipe takes 45 minutes but most of the time is due to the baking! It's really simple to prepare and tastes so good! Check it out here!!
