Everyone gets tired of eating the food we have on campus. Not that I don't love Chick-fil-a and Fried Chicken Wednesday, but you know what I mean. A semester of the same foods can get old, and driving off campus (if you even have a car) to get food can be expensive and time-consuming. Here's a list of some quick recipes you can make right in your dorm room!

French Toast in a Mug

Yes, you read that correctly. It's your favorite breakfast now easily made in the microwave– and it only takes two minutes!

Firstly, cut slices of bread into cubes; cut enough to fill up a large mug (a slice or a slice and a half should do the trick). Just plain white bread is fine, but you can use whichever bread you prefer! Then, melt some butter in the mug and twirl it around until you've got butter on the sides of the mug. Put your bread in the cup with butter, and pat it down so that it doesn't fall out; just don't over-do it, or else your french toast will be flat and won't soak in the mixture you're about to whip up!

In a separate mug, mix together one egg, three tablespoons of milk, and a dash of cinnamon. If you've got it on hand, feel free to add a drop of vanilla extract, but this recipe is yummy even without it. If you don't have measuring tools, you can use a spoon for the milk! Just eyeball it; it isn't hard to see how much is too much or too little. Pour this concoction over your bread in the other mug.

Microwave the bread and egg mixture for at least one minute, then add 10 seconds at a time until it's done to your liking (just be sure your egg isn't runny when you decide to take it out)! Ta-da! You're a master chef and all of your friends will love you if you make this.

Ramen Noodle Deluxe

Too broke to go out? These simple additions can spruce the ultimate college classic and make that 3 am finals cram a little bit more bearable.

First, microwave ramen noodles in two cups of water in a pyrex measuring cup for five minutes. Then, microwave your favorite frozen veggie mix per the instructions. Add a little soy sauce or your other favorite flavoring, and you're done!

Egg & Veggie Bagel

This one is a refreshing break from typical take-out and junk food. If you want, you can warm up your bagel in a toaster oven or microwave, but you don't have to. Mix egg whites, a little chopped spinach, a dash of salt in a microwaveable bowl for a minute and a half (be sure your eggs don't overflow!). Put your egg onto your bagel, add a slice of cheese and tomato, and if you're feeling it, microwave some bacon to throw on there!

Pita Pizza

California Kitchen Pizza brought straight to your dorm!

Spread 1/2 of shredded mozzarella cheese over a pita circle. Then, spread sliced mushrooms to your liking, chopped baby tomatoes, and chopped spinach on top. Microwave this for one to two minutes, and you're done!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
