Getting gifts for college students can sometimes be really difficult. However, most are currently surviving off of whatever they can find anyway, so gifts will be appreciated no matter what they are. Here are nine gifts that pretty much any college kid will love in a care package or for a holiday.
1. Gift Cards
This one pretty much speaks for itself. Gift cards for restaurants or movie theaters will probably be used the most often, but gift cards for clothing stores will definitely not be turned down.
2. Food
College students can never have too much food. Try to buy portable, easy to eat snacks and microwavable meals. Those are the easiest for students living in small dorm rooms.
3. Money
Another pretty easy one to figure out. Put it in a cute card or send it in a letter to their mailbox to add a personalized portion to your present.
4. Command Hooks
Command hooks can be used to hang up pretty much anything, and they are easy to remove so many college residential departments ask that students use these to hang up anything they need in their dorm room. That means these get used a lot.
5. Pens, Pencils, Paper, Etc.
Obviously, college students are going to need these essentials when they actually go to class. Notebooks, binders, and pretty much any school supplies are going to be used by them daily.
6. Write Them A Cute Letter
Writing a college student a cute, meaningful letter will truly make their day. I keep personal letters hung up in my room, and a lot of students will keep them around for motivation during stressful exam weeks.
7. Dorm Decorations
You can never have too many dorm decorations. Picture frames, little desk accesories, or posters are always appreciated.
8. Phone Chargers
Phone chargers can sometimes get expensive, and a backup can always come in handy. It's something simple and easy to find that any college kid will use constantly (just make sure it's the right charger).
9. Pretty Much Any Technology
I'm pretty sure no student is going to say no to new technology. Amazon Fire TVs are great for streaming Netflix in dorm rooms, or you could go for a less expensive portable charger for their phone.
