If you need a coffee to jumpstart, or even survive your day just like myself, choose Dunkin' Donuts. Trust me on this.

1. Donuts. What else?

Donuts. Munchkins(especially the blueberry flavor). They pair so well with a delicious Dunkin' coffee. The best part, you can get ten munchkins for less than $2...say what! What does Starbucks have? A cake pop..? Why would I want one bite of sweets rather than 10? Some days you just a need a donut with your coffee. They have even started to sell donut fries. Could life get any better? Dunkin' Donuts is a company of geniuses.

2. It's cheaper. Like a lot cheaper.

I'm in college, I don't have much extra money to buy a fancy Starbucks drink for $6-$8. At Dunkin' I can order my usual breakfast choice of a medium hazelnut iced coffee with a sausage wake-up wrap for a whopping $5. Can you beat that? At Starbucks, I can get a mediocre drink for $6 or more. There is no difficult choice between the two to make here.

3. I don't speak "Starbucks".

Everytime I go into Starbucks, the menu is so overwhelming. Do I want a grande, venti, tall? Why is the smallest size considered a tall? Why does the employee act like they don't know what I'm talking about when I say "medium"? I have so many questions. I just want a coffee. You're lucky we can even have a decent conversation before I get my daily dose of caffeine.

4. Dunkin' Donuts simply tastes better.

Dunkin' actually tastes better. Starbucks roasts their beans until they are burnt. Dunkin' roasts them until they are just roasted... Dunkin' pastries and donuts taste fresher than Starbucks. Would you rather have a fresh donut in the morning that was baked last night or a pastry that was shipped to the store and heated up in the Starbucks microwave? I'm not saying that Starbucks is disgusting, and I do enjoy a piece of banana bread once in awhile but if I had to choose, Dunkin' is overall tastier.

5. The coffee is consistent.

I have never had a bad coffee from Dunkin' Donuts. It doesn't matter if I go to the one across the street, on campus, by work, the coffee always comes out perfectly and me being a happy customer.

I will always choose Dunkin' Donuts over Starbucks. I will always crave my daily hazelnut iced coffee before my 8am class or 5pm work shift. I can always count on the fast service from Dunkin' rather than the line out the door at Starbucks because everyone's order takes at least a minute to even say. I will give Starbucks props for their adorable reusable cups! Dunkin' does fall to the wayside when it comes to that.

Again, I am not bashing Starbucks or saying it's not a bad brand of coffee. It just can not stand up to the holy grail of coffee.

I mean they do say, America runs on Dunkin'.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
