9 Reasons You Should Drop Your Usual Drink And Switch To Gin And Tonic

I remember when I was offered a gin and tonic, I literally was horrified. I didn't know what to do. Should I pour it out? Should I throw it away? I ended up taking that one sip, and it changed my life.

Here are 10 reasons why you should drop your usual drink and switch to Gin and Tonic.

1. It'll keep you looking slim

On average, a G & T has about 171 calories per drink versus a Margarita which (on average) has about 300 calories per drink. You can drink two G&T's and still feel good about yourself.

2. Juniper Berries have awesome health benefits

Juniper Berries are know as a nautral antiseptic, can improve skin conditions, and improve digestion.

3. It's known to help symptoms of arthritis

4. It fights liver disease

You'd think alcohol may not help your liver right? WRONG. It helps abdominal bloating and water retention. But, if you do have liver problems from drinking alcohol, Gin probably isn't the way to go.

5. It can help prevent Malaria

Quinine was the essential medicine back in the 1800's that actually cured and prevented malaria.

6. Gin fights cancer

7. You may live longer

Gin is known to increase blood circulation which can ultimately keep your heart going for even longer. Who knows, maybe you'll live forever?

8. It glows in the dark

You'll have all your friends asking you "Whoa, What drink did you order?" The quinine in tonic makes your drink glow under blacklight. Don't believe me? Order one yourself.

9. Tonic water is gross, but not in a Gin and Tonic

The two make a perfect pair

Now go grab some gin, tonic, and a lime wedge and get your night started.
