My Dream Groom Is Not Just Wishful Thinking

He is a man, not a boy.

My dream man is the man that knows he is beautiful, intelligent and knows how to respect himself.

There are more in a man than just being beautiful. Being beautiful does not mean I want his eyes to be green or brown or blue. I just need to see that those eyes show me how driven he is about his dream. His dream does not have to be that he wanted to be a doctor or a lawyer; his dreams is that he wants to protect his family. He wants to provide his family with money and affection.

His determination to his goals is straight fire. He would work day and night to achieve them because he has this burning passion for accomplishing anything he puts his mind to. However, he won’t forget to pray and wish god to always blesses him because he knows his achievement and success would not be easy without his faith and the love from his family who are always there.

He is intelligent because it is the way he is. He is smart in making you laugh, in another word, he is witty. You can hear the way he makes you giggle and smile and giggle again when he speaks to you. And then, you blush.

He is smart with money; he knows how to save money for his future family.

He is smart, not only book smart, but he is smart in treating you like a damn princess because he knows that you are his only princess.

He knows how to respect himself because that is how you know he will respect you. He would not ask you to come to his one-bedroom sized apartment on the first date because he is afraid to get too comfortable in admiring you that he tries to cuddle you.

He respects himself in a way that he would say no to the girl that wanted to kiss him at a party because he knows that he would only want to kiss someone that he cares and loves about.

He is a man, not a boy.

He completes you, even though you are already 100% complete. He is that extra 50%, going the extra miles. He enhanced the color of your life when it was already rainbow and colorful. He loves you dearly that he would try anything to make you happy because your happiness is a priority.

You are not many other options, you are the only option from many options.

You will then get intimate for the first time, at the right time. Your first time exploring his body, putting a trace in his wonderland would be magical. The blue moon will accompany the both of you. The blue moon that radiates luminous pearls from heaven; you can see it from your ceilings.

You don’t need to worry about the birth control or condoms to prevent pregnancy because you would practice safe sex through marriage.

Both of you are entirely open to the experience and are vulnerable to each other. You would not be scared of those stretch mark on the side of your belly because he will stare at your body as your body is an art at the Louvre museum. You would not even be scared of how the last love has mistreated you. You love, you love wholeheartedly as if it was your first love and he is your last love. He loves, he loves you wholeheartedly as if it was his first love and you are his last.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
