Have you ever had a dream that felt so real, that when you woke up you weren’t sure if you were actually waking up or if you were still dreaming?
When you’ve finally sorted it out that you are now awake and that was all a dream do you ever wonder what that dream could have meant and why you were having it? Well, let’s talk about some of the common things that come up in dreams. Maybe the next time you wake up from a dream that felt all too real this will help you figure it out!
Mind you that I'm not a professional and that dreams are always up for interpretation because not everyone is the same and not everyone will be dreaming about these things for the same reasons but the following are all things that a friend of mine and I have figured out.
Starting with abandonment: this means that you are holding on to feelings and characteristics that are making it hard for you to continue to grow as a person. Another thing that abandonment could mean is that you fear being deserted or betrayed. If you just lost a loved one or are expecting to lose a loved one soon this could be why you are having a dream about being abandoned.
Abduction in your dream could mean that you are being manipulated either by a circumstance or by a person in your life. If you have a dream about being abducted try and figure out what part of your life you don’t have control over and try to get control of it again.
If you dream that you are an accomplice to a crime it suggests that you have someone in your life that is only negatively affecting you. Maybe it’s time to figure out who and cut them out of your life.
If you come across an acquaintance in your dream it just means that aspects of yourself still need you to come around to them or that you need to spend more time getting to know yourself.
Amnesia suggests that you are trying to block out a negative aspect of yourself or your life.
Ever had a dream in which you are entering a place from the back door and not the front door? Do you have a problem in your life that you have been trying to find an answer or solution to? Search a little harder and stop thinking about things that are obvious and you will come across your answer or solution.
Dreaming of being on campus means that you need to expand your thinking and challenge yourself mentally.
If you are dancing in your dream that means that you have freedom from any constraints and restrictions in your life.
To dream that you are falling means that you are not frightened and that you will overcome your adversities.
To see a fictional character means that you are trying to escape from your own reality.
To dream that you are taking out the trash means that you are kicking your negative habits. Yay, go you!
Almost anything that you can think of can pop up in a dream and everything has a meaning. If you ever wake up and think that dream was crazy and you thought it was real at first just do a google search and maybe that can help you figure out what that crazy dream you had the other night was all about.
