If you're reading this it's too late... to save my grades. As finals week is now upon most of us, it's easy to get distracted from studying and to log onto Facebook to try and find some humor that will dry our tears from finals. Maybe you're listening to music while you're trying to write that 10-page paper that is due tomorrow, and "Hotline Bling" comes on. You start to sing along and add in funny scenarios that have to do with finals week. Or maybe you don't and that's just me, so here's what that would look like and what I decided to do instead of studying for finals.
“Got me going to final reviews back to back, yeah going back to back.”
My teachers got me going to reviews and I can't feel my hands anymore. It seems like every day I have multiple final reviews that I have to attend and it seems like they schedule them like that on purpose. Yeah, they want it back to back.
“Sittin’ in those study groups, hanging with some girls I’ve never seen before.”
It always seems to work out that the study groups I attend, I know absolutely no one there. I guess it's better that way though because now I can actually focus without distractions. You don't need nobody else, no.
“I don’t really care about finals and my excuse is that I’m young.”
I mean, worse comes to worse I am only a sophomore and I could retake this class if I don't pass right? But let's be honest I'm gonna study my butt off for it. And I'm only getting older. Somebody shoulda told ya.
“Sweatpants hair tied chillin’ with no makeup on that’s how I’ll be taking finals I hope that you don’t take it wrong.”
Listen I know I usually come to class all done up in nice clothes and showered and clean, but finals week is the exception. I am comfy and I am tired and this is as good as it gets. Best I ever had.
“I was born to make mistakes on all of my finals.”
Sure it would be nice to get an A on all of my finals and to not have to study at all for 22 out of the 24 hours a day during finals week, but I'm not on the Dean's list so. Not to fake perfection.
“I trusted you, but now your words mean nothing to me, because you disregarding the study guide.”
I thought we had an understanding, you give us the study guide that resembles the final and we
“From 8 until late, I think ‘bout my grade in your class. You own my nights I don’t know what to do.”
Sending numerous emails about my grade wasn't enough. That's why I decided to drop by office hours during final's week, to bump up my grade. Girl, you got me down, you got me stressed out.
So just hold on, because we're going home soon.
