There have been many instances when I found myself with too much time and not enough to do. If you are the same as me, here are some simple activities that can ease the boredom.
10. Workout
Not only does it give you something to do, it also helps to release endorphins!
9. Take a walk
Ever notice the amazing scenery near where you live? What about a mysterious walking path that made you curious? There is no better time to check it out than when you're bored.
8. Do some photography
The world around you is beautiful. Take some time to just walk around with a camera and encounter the world around you in a different way.
7. Do a puzzle
I prefer Sudoku, a crossword puzzle or a word search. However, any puzzle will get your brain working to cure the boredom.
6. Read a book or watch a movie you normally wouldn't
Maybe the reason you are bored is because you need something new to do. Try reading a book or watching a movie from a genre or about a topic you normally do not gravitiate towards.
5. Try arts and crafts
When I was bored I decorated picture frames, made holidays gifts out of Altoids boxes, and decorated mugs. See what you can DIY.
4. Create a 'to do list'
Write down anything you need to do this week, this month, this year. From chores to important meetings nothing is too small. If you are still bored and have time when you finish, pick something off the list and do it early.
3. Pick up a hobby
Find a new skill to learn and practice. I learned to crochet, doodle, and hand letter.
2. Join The Odyssey Online as a content creator!
If you find that you are frequently bored, start writing for The Odyssey! Articles are submitted at least once a week.

1. Draw something using a random prompt generator
Using these generators, I have drawn a ninja cat fighting a professor and a hypnotist in a library. These prompts make you think outside the box. My favorites are artprompts.org and megatsu.net.
