With everything going on at the moment, I constantly wonder why some people are so quick to judge another person and what they are going through. I think it's vital that we all remember that everyone has different circumstances and beliefs. But how do we respect people who have different beliefs than your own? It's important to never assume you know what it's like to be in another person's place. You don't know what the person or group is going through, so don't just assume that your opinions on the matter are correct. If you have different beliefs than someone it's important that you say them politely and don't offend other people or don't say them at all if you know it will purposely hurt someone. Everyone's opinion and viewpoints matter not just yours.
The Black Lives Matter Movement is a perfect example of this if you are not the group/race that is suffering from it then make sure that you are helping the situation than making it worse. Sure your opinion is important, but make sure you understand that you could never be in that person's shoes unless you lived through the same thing as them. We all need to learn to be respectful to others and what they have to endure everyday especially if its over there skin color. Through this movement, it is crucial that everyone fights for the discrimination African Americans have faced every day just because of thier color.
Nothing is more important at this time than to make sure that your being considerate and accepting everyone for who they are. Don't be so quick to judge. Before speaking out listen first and become educated. Don't give in to stereotypes. We are all in different places in our lives and some people may be going through things you couldn't even imagine going through.
