As Earth Day comes and goes it's important for us to celebrate and treat our home right everyday. With small changes in daily activities and habits, we can dramatically reduce our carbon footprint and waste emissions. Here are 30 tips to help you help the Earth everyday:
1. Shop at bulk stores such Costco or Sams Club.
2. Bring your own produce and reusable shopping bags to the store.
3. Carry a reusable water bottle.
4. Pack your own lunch.
5. Use refillable household products and make your own cleaning supplies where possible.
6. Use reusable food wraps and containers.
7. Bring reusable containers with you to restaurants where you know you'll take home leftovers.
8. Bring your own glass or metal straws to bars and restaurants.
9. Buy loose leaf tea.
10. Use washable cloth napkins at home.
11. Reuse glass jars.
12. Walk, ride a bike, or use public transport where you can.
13. Print on both sides of paper.
14. Use black ink when possible.
15. Email documents and host virtual meetings where possible.
