This week Donald Trump released his plan for tax reform should he be elected president in 2016. This plan will benefit lower-income and middle-class Americans and small businesses.
First of all, there will only be four income tax brackets instead of the current seven: 0 percent, 10 percent, 20 percent, and 25 percent. Single-filers who make less than $25,000 a year and married filers who make $50,000 a year will not have to pay any income tax at all. The rates at which Americans are being taxed will be the lowest rates since before World War II.
The death tax will also be cut. Trump believes it punishes families for doing well, and in America, a nation that is supposed to be a land of opportunity, this is unacceptable.
The tax cuts will be made up for primarily by reducing the loopholes the very rich can take and the deductions they receive. Considering Trump is one of those very wealthy, there will end up being more taxes for him. However, he knows he can afford it and would rather middle-class and low-income families be able to make ends meet. He will also reduce corporate loopholes that cater to special interests and stop allowing corporations to defer taxes on income earned in foreign countries.
No business will be paying more than 15 percent in corporate tax, enabling companies, particularly small businesses, to be able to create more jobs. Under Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, the United States had one of the lowest corporate tax rates, and now it has one of the highest. Trump wants to return to Reagan-esque economics and once again create for America the best corporate tax rate in the world.
As a result of lowering the corporate tax rates, small business will be able to hire more people and grow. Workers will also be receiving more money in their paychecks due to decreased income tax rates. All working middle class Americans and small-business owners will benefit greatly from this proposed tax reform plan.
Donald Trump understands that the people do not need to be taxed more. The current administration has taxed people to their wit's end, and that is no way to grow an economy. Trumps' tax plan would allow business to grow and allow people to keep more of their money, which will get circulated back through the economy. Being a highly successful businessman, Trump understands a thing or two about how economics work.
Donald Trump is truly a candidate who cares about the well-being of the American people. He wants to restore the American dream, help the middle class recover, create jobs, and grow the economy.
