Resting on one of the wealthiest streets in Palm Beach, Florida, with seas of marble, intricate stone, expensive gold, and endless palm trees is a structure unlike any other- a vast compound of architecture that our new president, Donald Trump, owns.
Named, The Mar-a-Lago Club, Trump bought this 17-acre land of manicured lawns and vibrant private houses that compose a private club and spa. According to Fortune, Trump profited about $15.6 million from the club in 2015 alone.
The club consists of an oceanfront swimming pool and Beach club, a Trump Spa and Salon, six tennis courts, a croquet court, a chip and putt golf course, an art fitness center, and a large entertainment space for political gatherings or weddings.
So what does this exclusive club not contain? Oh, right- somewhat affordable membership fees.
ABC News released the costs of Trump’s club- so, if you are eager to become a Trump elite, you better be ready to spend. There is a confirmed, initial, non-refundable membership fee of $100,000, annual dues of $14,000, and if you want to eat on the premises, you better be prepared to pay an extra $2,000.
But this space is not just for the members- there is a part of the estate that is isolated for Trump and his family to enjoy. With a view of the Atlantic Ocean and bay, what family would not be absolutely captivated by this estate? Supposedly, the property currently has an estimated price that ranges from $200 million and $300 million.
However, Trump is not the only person paying for this vast piece of property. Since 1995, our determined, new President has been filing lawsuits in regards to the airport noise from Fort Lauderdale. He has requested numerous times for planes to be forbidden to fly over the property; these series of never ending lawsuits has costed local taxpayers $600,000 in legal fees.
Well, Mr. Trump, how will you be able to handle running the country, selling real estate properties, operating efficient hotels, golf courses, casinos, The Mar-a-Lago Club, and so many other businesses? I wish you good luck Trump- you have thousands of liberals who are disappointed and taxpayers that wish your businesses never existed. Perhaps try paying taxes, for once.
