Let's face it—it can be tough out there for students. Tuition rates are high and rising, student loans are through the roof as you approach senior year, and chances are, some weeks you barely have two pennies to rub together.

Retailers can sympathize with that, and many of them offer discounts of 10% or more for students, if only you ask or know to take advantage of the offer. After doing some hunting myself, I've found stores that offer student discounts if you show your valid student I.D.! Keep your I.D. on you at all times, and don’t be hesitant about asking for a student discount!
