We all have a furry friend that is near and dear to our hearts. Animals love us unconditionally, and there is no other love like the love you receive from an animal. In their eyes, you as their owner can do no wrong. When you yell at them, they instantly want to please you and then come cuddling up to you to show their apology. You are your animal’s world and to them you are their whole life, but to you they are only a small part of yours. As the saying goes, “A dog is a man’s best friend,” but in this case a dog is most definitely a girl’s best friend.
A dog is a special furry friend. A dog is very loyal and they will do anything to please their owners and family. Sure, dogs misbehave, but they do not know any better until you raise your voice and show them. A dog looks at you for love and to take care of them. My dog knows that I am a sucker for giving her food from my plate, and it is annoying when she begs, but I always make sure I give her my last bite, even when it’s the last lick of my ice cream cone. I do this for the simple fact that it makes her happy. Now, when I move out and have another dog, I probably won’t feed it from the table, but now that is what my dog is used to, and old habits die hard.
My dog is special to me, and I make sure she knows it. Every year on her birthday, I buy her a special treat and a new toy. There are few things in life better than seeing the happiness in my dog's eyes when she sees she is about to receive a treat.
My dog is my best friend. No one is ever as happy to see me after a long day as my dog and no one is as sad to see me leave for the day as my dog. The best feeling is when I come home and my dog greets me by bringing me a toy and jumping up so I can pet her. She does that each and every time I walk in the door. I truly believe that nothing else makes a dog as happy as them seeing their owner come home.
A dog can also sense when you are sad or upset or just having a bad day. If you are sad, a dog will give you even more love. They look for you for protection if they are scared or worried. You are their owner, and they are helpless with you because to them, you are their family.
Last, but not least, a dog is a girl’s best friend simply because girls tend to love things and people more than men. A dog will never let you down like a boy will, so for now, I will continue to love my dog, because boys come and go, but a dog is forever.
