Chances are you clicked on this article because you are the youngest or middle child of the family. Perhaps you are the oldest and want to know what it feels like to be the youngest. You'll definitely get a feel for it while reading this. I promise! I'm sure that we all share some similarities solely based on the fact that we are the younger siblings. Being the younger sibling in the family comes with some perks but of course it has its downsides. I'm sure you can relate to a few of these.

Always Known as "The Baby" of the Family

I think it never fails when you tell someone that you're the youngest of your family and then they reply with "Aw so you're the baby!" I still get this now even though I'm twenty years old. I'm not a baby anymore, I'm a young adult people!

Your Older Siblings Are Always Protective of You

Sometimes your older siblings can be a bit overprotective but you know it's coming from a great place. They just want to make sure that you're okay and although it can get annoying, it's something that I've always appreciated about being the youngest sibling. They genuinely care about you and would lose it if something had ever happened to you and you feel the same way about them. Just sibling things.

Being Compared to Your Older Siblings

I'm sure we have all been through this before. Your family and family friends may not see anything wrong with this but of course we do because we want to be our own person! Not just (insert your older sibling's) younger brother/sister. There is always some pressure from your parents to be just like your older siblings whether that be to attend the same school, pursue the same career, and more. You know what's even worse? When you get called by your older sibling's name and not by your own name!

Getting Great Advice

You can definitely turn to your older siblings for some great advice. No matter how much older they are than you, they are wise and have went through similar experiences as you. There's no denying that. You'll even find yourself giving them advice as well. That's what siblings are for! Not to mention, it's free advice!

They Dragged You Everywhere When You Were Younger

This was probably fun to you but a pain to them! Hanging out with your older siblings friends was awesome because you got all the attention. Maybe your older sibling didn't like that but you sure did. Haha. You always had cool stories to tell your friends the next day.

You're Probably Used to Your Older Sibling(s) Speaking Up For You

You have gotten used to looking over at your sibling(s) like this when you want them to speak to that relative that you barely remember. Well maybe not but I know I always do this haha. Maybe you can't stand your older siblings doing this but I don't mind it at all because I'm so shy and would rather have them start conversations instead of me doing it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
