Disney Princesses Ranked
Disney Princess Wikia

Disney movies are the best kinds of movies; anything can happen and everything is magical. If someone doesn't like Disney movies, run and never look back. Growing up, I along with many other girls, wanted to be a Disney princess. They are beautiful women who are elegant and wonderful. According to disneyprincess.wiki.com, there are 11 "official Disney princesses." I have ranked them based on my personal opinions of each of them.

  • 1. Mulan
The most badass “princess” there is (even though she’s technically not a princess). She’s a female protagonist that little girls can look up to, I know I did, because she saves all of China when nobody else could. Talk about girl power.
  • 2. Tiana
Another princess that shows true girl power. Tiana works for everything and won’t stop until she reaches her goals. One of the main reasons she’s number two on this list, though, is because The Princess and The Frog has one of the best soundtracks with all of the jazz music.
  • 3. Jasmine
I always wished I looked like Jasmine. She’s so tiny and her hair is fabulous. She’s also got a pet tiger which is pretty cool. Jasmine gets to fly around the world on a magic carpet and meet a genie. I gotta admit, she’s got a pretty cool life.
  • 4. Rapunzel
She has magic hair that glows and heals people when she sings. Also, she’s super talented. She can play guitar and knit and paint. And if we’re including best looking significant others, Rapunzel definitely wins with Flynn Ryder.
  • 5. Belle
She might have one of my favorite princess singing voices. Besides the whole being into a beast thing, Belle’s groovy. A good feminist role model who can look past people’s exterior and see how great they are on the inside.
  • 6. Ariel
The message of The Little Mermaid isn’t great: "change yourself to make a man like you." Ariel is a naïve little girl who thinks she’s a grown up. And she doesn’t even talk for half of the movie! But she’s clumsy and awkward and that’s relatable.
  • 7. Pocahontas
I didn’t watch this one until I was 16 or so. Although the movie isn’t historically accurate, Pocahontas has some pretty good songs. And for being only 15 or 16, she’s super tall and mature. Seriously she looks about 26.
  • 8. Cinderella
Cinderella is one of the movies that I’ve watched but don’t really love. While Cinderella as an individual isn’t that bad, her movie is a bit boring and gets old quickly. She’s the most iconic princess, yes, but she’s nothing special.
  • 9. Sleeping Beauty
Continuing with the “nothing special” thing, I feel like Sleeping Beauty is just a mix of Cinderella and Snow White. She isn’t original and she’s just asleep for most of the movie.
  • 10. Snow White
I think that Snow White is the worst princess. She’s so boring and her voice is too shrill. The whole movie is basically her just cleaning everything, being stupid and taking food from a stranger, and again, she’s asleep for the rest of the movie.
  • 11. Merida
Merida is only at the bottom of the list because I’ve never actually seen Brave. My roommate tells me she should be around number five or so. I trust her, but for now, Merida comes last.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
