New Disney Destination

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has finally announced an opening date for their newest park, so be sure to add it to your list of travel destinations. Shanghai, China, will be having the area’s first Disney destination, debuting June 16, 2016.

Shanghai Disneyland Resort will feature two Disney-themed resorts, a recreational area, a retail, dining and entertainment district as well as the new Disney theme park. The park will feature six lands, new attractions, and technology never seen before in the Disney parks. This resort will feature so many new things that any Walt Disney Parks and Resorts fan needs to put it on their bucket list of places to visit!

This resort will bring the essence of Disney, but also the culture and richness of China alive. Shanghai Disneyland will have Disney’s largest castle at any Disney theme park as well as the most interaction. The park will feature some old and new lands including: Fantasyland, Treasure Cove, Adventure Isle, Tomorrowland, Mickey Avenue, and Gardens of Imagination.

Treasure Cove is the first ever pirate-themed land at any Disney Park. Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure will be an attraction like no other in the world according to the Disney Parks Blog. It will feature everyone’s favorite pirates Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Davy Jones. This attraction will be one to remember and be sure to check out!

Another new attraction to see will be TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Tomorrowland. Other attractions will including Roaring Mountain and Roaring Rapids, which we haven’t heard much about so those will be exciting to see! Disney will also showcase new parades and nighttime spectaculars as well. With everything new debuting and classic attractions being brought to life there is a lot to look forward too come June!
