The Ultimate Disney College Program Bucket List

The Ultimate Disney College Program Bucket List

*Quits college for a semester to work for Walt Disney*

Less than two months and I'll officially be a Walt Disney World Cast Member!! I'm so excited but super nervous to live alone on the other side of the country. So to keep my mind off of everything I'm going to be missing at home, I came up with a short and to-able Disney College Program bucket list. It's everything I want to do during my program, but it's things that regular people can do on their Disney trip too, so I'm sharing it.

1. Four parks in one day.

Challenge accepted.

2. Take a picture with the Mickey Balloons.

3. Meet as many characters as you can.

4. Get as many autographs as you can.

5. Stay in the parks from open to close.

6. Visit the parks alone.

As scary as it may seem, I'm going to try to enjoy the parks alone.

7. Obviously get a picture in front of the castle.

8. See as many shows/parades as possible.

Okay so maybe you aren't going to Paris but Disney World in Florida has this too lol.

10. Character breakfast.

What better way to start your day than with the most important meal with your favorite characters. But obviously look happier than this little girl.

11. Eat around the world.

Maybe you'll have a Lady and the Tramp moment.

12. Eat at every restaurant.

Dinner and a show anyone? But maybe not every restaurant, considering Be Our Guest is just one that has like a 4+ month reservation.

13. Ride every ride, no matter what.

14. Take a picture on Main Street when it's empty.

15. Find as many hidden mickeys as you can.

16. Take a picture with all the cool walls as backgrounds.

Basic but necessary.

17. Resort hopping!

Bonus: Find/meet as many celebrities as you can.

I'm The Girl Who Always Orders Chicken Tenders At Nice Restaurants — And I'm Not Sorry For That

It's 100% okay to be a fully functioning adult and still say, "I'll have the chicken tenders, please."

You walk into a nice restaurant with your family, friends, or significant other and sit down at the candlelit table set with silverware and cloth napkins and pick up the menu to decide what you'll be eating. You spend a good 15 minutes scanning the menu full of fancy cuisines and thinking, "Hmm, maybe I'll try something different tonight," until you decide, "Hmm, maybe not," and order the chicken tenders and french fries like the devoted lover you are.

Sound familiar? Yeah, me too.

If you're anything like me, you've probably been a super picky eater most, if not all, of your life. I've been to my fair share of overpriced restaurants whose menu items have names that end in a long series of vowels, and I know that sometimes it can be kind of embarrassing to say, "I'll have the chicken tenders," to the waiter. BELIEVE ME, I get it.

But honestly, chicken tenders are awesome. They're filling, usually a good source of protein, and depending on what restaurant you're at, can be paired with a wide variety of bomb dipping sauces. And, they're usually pretty much one of the cheapest things on the menu, which is a BIG plus if you're a broke college girl like me.

In fact, if we're being super real right now, it makes the most sense to always order the chicken tenders. They're among the least expensive foods, you never have to worry about whether or not you're pronouncing the entirely too long dish name with a curly thing above every E and U right, and you always know EXACTLY what you're getting. If the restaurant can pop out lobster-kale-steak glazed with a light tangerine vinaigrette that was plated by Jesus Christ himself, then they certainly should not have trouble getting your chicken tenders to the perfect stage of crispiness.

There's no shame in the chicken tenders game. If you aren't super big on branching out and trying new foods you'll possibly (probably) not enjoy, treat yourself and order those tenders, and if you're thinking, "Hmm maybe I SHOULD try something different for real this time," be adventurous and order something different and fun. Order whatever the heck makes you happy because life is too short to eat anything other than what we love and crave.

So go out and order all the chicken tenders you want and don't let anyone tell you that you shouldn't or are "too old," because girl you deserve them and all their crispy and saucy deliciousness.
