The best part about college is finding friends who become your "squad" for more than just four years, but forever. Each of these friends is different in their own way and as the years go on you notice some special qualities about them that make them the person you know (and love) today. Here are a few different types of friends everyone is familiar with.
The friend who will do anything to get a free drink
We all have this one friend who will stop at nothing to get a free drink (or five) from the bar. She will make out with any guy, single or not, dance on the bar top or even pretend to be the vulnerable just got dumped girl. The good thing about having this kind of friend is she always finds drinks for the rest of the squad.
The friend that always disappears at parties
I'm sure we all know this type of friend. Typically, as soon as you get to the party (or bar) she doesn't waste any time running. She's the social butterfly of the group and always has to make her rounds. The weird thing about this friend is you never know where she goes so she gets left at the bar and has to find her own way home. You wake up the next morning to read texts and open Snapchats she sent you with the whole football team at 4 a.m. but when you check her bedroom, she is always safe and sound.
The mom
Everyone has a "mom" of the group. She is constantly cleaning up after everyone, making sure everyone gets to class and work on time and even sometimes making you dinner when no one can seem to get their lives together. The best part about the mom of the group is she still goes out with you and is always there to hold your hair and get you Gatorade when you need it the most.
The girl who hooks up with the boy next door
We all know this kind of friend. The one who tells us she's coming over and then stalks the neighbor from the peephole in your apartment waiting for him to get home. Typically, she walks over the morning after their hook-ups and raids your fridge and then hints for a ride home. She always asks for constant updates about his whereabouts, what cars are parked outside his place, or if you've seen any girls around lately. You love her but you're kind of tired of seeing your neighbor half-naked and hearing intimate details about their sex life.
The only friend with a boyfriend
Every friend group has a friend that isn't single. Which you have actually grown to be kind of sad about. She never really comes out anymore, she's actually become quite the grandma. Her boyfriend is always over making breakfast or taking her to dinner (and it definitely makes everyone a little jealous) I mean, you're happy that she's happy but come on sisters before misters!!
The dibs stealer
We all know (and probably hate) this friend. You're out at the bar and see a really cute guy who you immediately call dibs on but, by the end of the night you see this friend dragging him home with her tongue in his mouth. You can almost guarantee that this will happen every weekend.
The friend who always calls and texts their ex
Every friend group has the crazy psycho friend who can't stop thinking about her ex. Whether she is drunk calling him and cussing him out, or stalking his latest Instagram and Twitter followers she almost never stops talking about him (or trying to talk to him). Good luck with this one ladies.
The D.D.
We all love this friend. She will drive you to and from parties, stop at CookOut on the way home and even play some NSYNC throwbacks during the ride. Who is better than her?
The friend who always says they will come out then never actually shows up
This friend is probably the worst. All you want is for her to come out and have a good time yet she makes up excuses like, "I have too much homework," "I'm too hung over from last time I went out," or everyone's personal favorite, "Yeah I'll stop by for a little" and then never stops by!
You might hate them from time to time, but deep down you love each and every one of them.
