If it's worth it, you will fight for it.

I love my friends.

I knew they were not temporary friends, or the friends you have in high school for social conveniency. But I also knew to keep our bond strong, we had to make a strong effort. The way I describe my friend group is like a bag of marbles; there is a variety for the personalities, and when there is more of one it messes with the dynamic of the group. Let me introduce the personalities of Flosse Posse + KOD:

1. The Carnela

The Carnela is the baby and at times the most sensitive one. She is the friend you could never stay mad at for a period of time. She’s the goofy, yet adorable friend. The quiet, but filled with opinions and when alone with her friends is a firecracker. But she’s also that friend that holds things in. She is that friend with a bag filled with everything you could possibly need. That friend in class that laughs at all your jokes and shares snacks under the desk. That friend you can vent to and supports your decisions regardless; She is our purple marble.

2. The Armoni

This is that friend that is typically the center of attention, the outgoing friend. The Party and spontaneous Talkative that has a lot of friends. Most times they are the very ‘friendly’ one that ends up bringing others into your circle. Never thinks they are wrong, and loves to argue. But you know they love you. The friend you have conflicts with, but is worth every fight. The friend that is territorial of the group. The friend that has their slow moments, but understands what you're thinking. This is the green marble.

3. The Taliah

This is that friend that you would always lose an argument to. Never want to share. That non-emotional, but deep down emotional friend. That friend who calls you out when you're doing something dumb or reckless. That person you can always trust with your business and to give you a laugh when you need it. That strong friend to support you when you are low. This is the pink marble.

4. The Sibyn

This is the realistic friend. The one that thinks 360 about a situation. The one that gives you the possible good and bad outcomes of a situation. The friend that is caring and loyal to a fault. Who would run to the moon and back for her friends. The talkative and debating one, who would fight for her friends in a heartbeat. Mother hen of the group, but one of the goofiest people. One of the emotional ones, but hides it pretty well. This is the red marble.

5. The Nasair

This is the guy of the group. The guy you go to for advice about guys, and how to understand them. He is the goofy friend and the middleman. When there is a fight he is the determining factor, the judge. He is the sometimes insensitive one, we blame that on him being a guy. The friend that tags along for the adventure. He’s the outsider, but at the same time the glue and the missing puzzle piece. This is the blue marble.

Flossy Posse

We are all one, it is quite crazy to see the shift in personalities that college has caused. Nasair and I have become Armoni, Armoni has become Sibyn, Carnela has become Taliah and Taliah is now Carnela. Who are you?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
