How to Define the Relationship

Before reading this how to guide, please keep in mind that there must be some sort of relationship to define. Yes you may be in love with that frat boy or someone in your class, but do not perform these steps if he or she does not know your name.

For those of you who actually think you do have something serious, here are some steps to figure out what in the world is going on between you two (if you even want to figure it out). This may not even help at all, but I am going to try.

Step One: Be Prepared

This talk is either going to be happy or sad, so you do need to prepare yourself for the worst. People can really suck sometimes. Even though he or she might be leading you to believe they are really into you, it could all be a lie. They may either pull "we just seem better as friends," or the "you can find someone better than me" crap, but that is okay because now you know you can move on and find better yay!!!! OR they could be feeling the same way as you and that could lead to a happy ending!

Step Two: Wait For the Right Time

Please do not decide to have "the talk" in the middle of class, or at a party. It really should just be you two together. You could be awkward like me and do it over text, but it is harder for people to lie to your face so try to do it in person!!!! Be brave awkward soul.

Step Three: Play It Cool

DO NOT BE CRAZY! Just play it casual. Maybe just try the standard "so, like, what are we doing here?" Just let the conversation flow naturally.

Step Four: Do Not Dwell on the Results

Like I said earlier, people can suck. If he or she says they aren't interested, you deserve better. Obviously if you had to define the relationship in the first place, there was something there. Also, stay friends with that person! Do not lose a friendship over just figuring out what is going on in your heads. However, if the other person says yes congratulations! You figured a part of your life out.

Step Five: Do Not Just Read This Article and Actually DTR

Trust me on this one. If you think there is something more, and you want there to be something more, stop wasting time and just man up and talk about it. If you guys are close enough it will not change anything if it goes the opposite way. You literally have nothing to lose except time. The more time you waste the more time you lose on either a relationship or finding someone even better.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
