Why I Decided To Start Making YouTube Videos
Wired

YouTube is one of the most popular websites on the internet. More than half the population in the world has been on YouTube either watching or making videos or even both. A lot of people even get paid to make videos and they have YouTube as their actual job. At the beginning of last year, in 2016, my sister and I decided to make a YouTube channel and make videos for fun. I was the filmer and she was the editor. We gained over 80 subscribers on the channel and we loved doing it. We stopped making videos after a while because we got super busy but you can check out our channel below:

After we stopped making videos, I decided that I still wanted to make videos by myself. My sister and I made all types of videos including challenges, makeup tutorials, etc. I decided that I wanted to make videos about makeup since makeup is basically my life. I bought a camera and all this equipment to start making videos and I posted two videos so far. I wanted to start a makeup channel since I have grown to love makeup and with practice, I feel like I have a lot of skills. I've also gotten a lot of compliments on how I do my makeup and it helps me feel good about how I do it.

The two videos I posted include a "Facts About Me" video and A "Kylie Cosmetics Haul". You can check out the two videos below:

I really enjoy making videos for people to enjoy and watch. I really like having a passion for makeup and I use the passion I have to do tutorials and anything of the like. If I get popular, great. If not, that's okay too. I have positivity that I can use makeup to get noticed more and get more and more people to check out what I can do. Makeup is not a requirement but it is a choice and I choose to wear it because it makes me happy. If you want to, you can definitely subscribe to my channel with the link down below. It would help me out a lot if you subscribe to my channel.

If you asked me how making YouTube videos is, I would say that it's not easy. You have to film, edit, and upload and it's a long process. If you are interested in making YouTube videos, go for it. You have nothing to lose. I make them because it's fun and it helps me cope with stress as well. The process is stressful, yes, but it's worth it. If the videos are good, they will be noticed more and become popular or they might even trend on YouTube. A trending video on YouTube is a big honor. I will definitely keep making videos because it is a fun way to get my personality and passion for makeup out there.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
