Dear Momma,
Now that I am older I seem to appreciate you more. Now that I am off at college it makes me realize how much you did for me. Making dinner, running errands, cleaning up around the house, and especially always being someone I could talk to. Those days after school when I would come home and rant to you because of how stressed I am, you would always listen no matter what. You understand everything & always know what to say.
Now that I am older, I have realized that you are a best friend that any girl could possibly ask for. You constantly push me to try new things and push me to keep going even when I don’t want to. You are my number one supporter and have been forever. You have showed me that mother’s do whatever they can to give their children the best life possible and that’s exactly what you did for me and the family.
Now that I’m older, it makes me appreciate the times I am at home for a weekend, over break, and during the summer a little extra. Being away at school makes me miss home cooked meals and family dinner every night. I have noticed that you’re the cool mom and we have a bond like no other. Whether it’s us going shopping, going to pick up the boys from school, or just watching a movie, it’s always fun.
Now that I’m older, I remember all the little things you did for me when I was younger. Making lunches everyday for school, being room mom, bringing us McDonald’s for lunch when you worked lunch duty, being at every sports game and practice since Kindergarten and cheering me on so loud I could hear you on the court/ field.
This is me saying thank you mom for everything you have done for me. Thank you for being one bada** lady and constantly showing me that no matter what life throws at you, you learn to handle that and keep going.
Love,
Your Daughter Em
