Dear Mom And Dad, Here's What I Want You To Know Now That I'm Home For Break

I went off to college and now I'm coming home for a month and to be honest I'm a little different. I'm definitely not the same high schooler that left in August. I know seeing your baby grow up can be hard but I hope you can understand what I want during my break from college. Here's what I want you to know now that I'm home.

1. I love you and I missed you a lot more than I'll ever let you know.

2. I am so incredibly tired, oh my god do not be concerned about my sleeping pattern just let me hibernate for a few days.

3. Speaking of sleeping, I really missed my queen sized bed. I might just have to stay in it for what I will admit to being way too long. Just me, Netflix and the dog.

4. I'm having a great time in college don't worry about that. I made amazing new friends and regardless of what my little sister is telling you, I'm really not partying too much.

5.Feed me please. College food is okay but I really did miss your cooking. I never considered you to be a master chief but school food really made you shine in comparison. Please make those chicken cutlets I love and try not to make a comment about how many I can pack away, they're really good okay.

6. College is really difficult. Between studying and extracurriculars I've been working very hard and sometimes grade point averages don't reflect that hard work. Don't worry about my grades, I promise to bring them up next semester.

7. I got used to a very different lifestyle while being away. Yes, I would love for you to help me with my laundry while I'm home but I also have a new sense of independence. I know the way I like certain things done, don't be offended if I tell you to back off and just let me do things myself.

8. Yes, I do want to spend time with you but I also really missed my home town friends so expect me to want to hang out with them as much as I can.

9. Even if I get annoyed with all your questions and get tired and bored of living at home. Remember I'm very grateful for everything you do to make it possible for me to away to college.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
