It's your future big

Dear Future Little,

I genuinely hope you read this because I’ll find out who you are soon and this will probably give you a good idea of what to look forward to in our years to come, which we will spend together.

I’m so incredibly excited to get to call you my little and for you to call me your big. I hope that when you tell people that I’m your big you’re proud of it, and that you have funny stories to tell immediately afterwards. I hope that all of our nights out or in for that matter result in fun memories.

I hope you enjoy how close you’re about to get with your grand big because she’s a big part of my life and thereby will probably also be a big part of yours. I hope that our family nights go down in history because in the past they have so it should really be a family tradition, yah feel?

I hope you enjoy all the crafts you’re about to inherit because I had a really weird craft phase this summer and you get to be the beneficiary of that. I hope you’re excited for the nights I tell you to come over and have canvases ready for us to paint (and a quart of ice cream to eat while doing that).

I hope you always feel comfortable enough to come to me with anything. Whether it be a boy problem or a school problem or you just want to kill an hour between classes and want someone to talk to. I’ll always be there for you, guaranteed.

I hope you don’t mind the spontaneous times where I’ll probably just show up at your dorm with some random thing for us to do. There will probably be times I’ll invite you to do the randomest things ever solely because I don’t want to do them alone. Whether that be the gym, or going for coffee, or just going for a walk, our relationship will be more than just going out.

I hope you don’t mind that I’m basically going to become a hermit right before I have tests, and instead come study with me. Don’t worry, we’ll go out afterwards because who wouldn’t want to celebrate not failing a midterm? I hope I can help you with your classes, and if I can’t- I hope I can find someone who can.

I hope you feel comfortable coming to the house and my room whenever, because what’s mine is yours. Literally feel free to borrow clothes as you want and chill in my room whenever. I hope that eating lunch together is a regularity and that I can walk you to class often because how cute would that be.

But most of all, I hope that we grow super close. I don’t want to be the big-little relationship that only see each other at mandatory events. It’s not the relationship I had with my big and I will work so hard to make sure that’s not the relationship we have either. We’ll be unstoppable, the dynamic duo and on occasion the nightmare pair. Future little, I’m so excited to meet you and to get to start our adventures together.

Sincerely,

Your Future Big

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
