Dear Roommate,
First, I want to start off by saying that I am so excited to be living with you and conquering another year with you right by my side. As the summer comes to an end, we are sad to leave our homes, beds, friends, parents, and most importantly, our dogs. But it makes leaving a little bit easier knowing you'll be right there the whole time.
For the first time ever, I'll be living with my best friend and I couldn't be more thrilled! I absolutely cannot wait to have one long, constant sleepover. I can't wait for Bachelor viewings in our room on Monday's and movie nights all the time. I can't wait to have dance parties and eat calzones together at 2 a.m., and then wake up the next morning and enjoy coffee on the "terrace." And I especially can't wait to steal all of your clothes.
I promise to be a good roommate. I promise to ask before jacking your entire wardrobe, and to return the favor and let you borrow my clothes whenever you please. I promise to be quiet when I'm up early for classes, and to not get too annoyed with you when you're studying in your bed until midnight. I also promise to always be down to stuff my face with you when you want to go get snacks at the convenience store and pig out all night long. And I'll be down to galavant around when you want to be reckless and act like a fool for the night. But don't worry, I'll also be a good friend and keep you in line (lol), like when you want to go out the night before an exam, or when you try to show me funny vines until the wee hours of the morning to distract yourself from the fact that you have a lab report due. Nope, get studying girlfriend.
But seriously, thanks for being someone I know I can count on. Thanks for being the neat freak that you are, because it assures me that our room will always remain nice and tidy. Thanks for obsessing with me over our room and not stopping until it is beautifully coordinated. Thanks for being stylish and having the same shirt size as me, even though we'll never be able to share shoes (sad face).
I know this year is going to be one for the books. Befriending you freshman year was one of my best decisions yet, and deciding to live with you is right there with it. So, get ready to hear me complain and vent 24/7, and prepare your dopest playlist on Spotify. Cheers to sophomore year with you, Ash! xoxo
