Best friends are the ones who are there: whenever; wherever; however and most importantly: forever!

Dear Best Friend Having A Hard Time,

Know that I am here for you day and night. Know that you are strong and will persevere through this. Know that God is listening to you. Know that there is always hope. Know that you've always been considered a sibling to me. Know that I will pick you back up when you fall. Know that because of you, I laugh a little harder, cry a little less, and smile a lot more. Know that wherever you are, I will always travel the distance to see you even if you just want a hug.

I will pick up my phone and listen to your worries. I will not judge. I will love you and offer support. I will cry with you and feel the same hurt you do because your problems are my problems so that you don't have to go through them alone. I will understand your problems and try my hardest to solve them. I will ask questions only because I want to understand. I will give advice and you are expected to believe me. I will never lie to you. I will always give you anything you need. I will pray for you. If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile. But any time you need a friend, I'll just be me.

I promise to be loyal and never leave you no matter what we go through. I promise to get you through the hard times. I promise to be there for anything you need me to be there for. I promise to always keep our conversations to myself. I promise to support you in whatever adventures you decide to take through life. I promise these hard times won't last forever, but our friendship will. I promise to always be your best friend. Because a best friend isn't just someone who is there for you. It's someone who understands you a bit more than you understand yourself.

My wish for you is to be happy. I wish for you to feel safe again. I wish for you to feel loved and wanted. I wish for you to feel like a family again. I wish for you to conquer your big dreams. I wish for you to not feel like your swallowing your pride, but rather feel confident asking for help where it is needed. I wish for you to feel accomplished with all that you do. I wish for this life to become all that you want it to.

If you ever need anything, know that I will give you everything. We haven't been best friends since forever, but it feels like I've known you for that long. How lucky I am to have been able to have a best friend that I know will do all these things for me too.
