Dear Delta Gamma,
I don't think you realize how truly loved and appreciated you are. As a member of Delta Gamma, there are several unique things that apply to my life that don't necessarily apply to other people's lives and I think that is just such a special connection all Delta Gammas share. So DG, I'd like to thank you for some of the ways in which being a Delta Gamma has impacted my life, and if you are also a member of this incredible fraternity (yes, I said fraternity) then hopefully you feel the same way too. So here goes:
Thank you for giving me a reason to love/purchase any type of nautical object or piece of clothing, especially if it has an anchor on it.
Thank you for giving me a new appreciation for society's improper use of "good" and "well" so that I can throw it whenever somebody says they "did good."
Thank you for having three completely different color options because not all of us can look good in some of those shades.
Thank you for giving me an actual excuse to take pictures on/near/in front of any boat or anchor so that I don't just look like a basic girl attempting to take a cute picture, but because I have a personal connection to anything that can anchor down.
Thank you for having a founding date that is easy to remember because it has the same numbers as the Fetty Wap's lyrics "1738." (It was founded in 1873 just so you know)
Thank you for allowing us to have Service for Sight as our national philanthropy not only because it's an incredible cause but because service dogs are just so sweet and cute.
Thank you for having Greek letters whose shapes can so easily be used in writing because it especially helps when coming up with clever Instagram captions.
Thank you for having such catchy door chants that get stuck in your head (and PNM's heads) during recruitment... and all throughout the year if we're being honest.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to "rep DG" whenever we are asked how we did on something. For example, "how did you do on that test/how did you play in that game/how did that first date go?" ... "Did Good."
NO thank you for creeping me out with Hannah, but I suppose I'll forgive you for that one because sometimes a little spook is fun.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet and become best friends with such incredible, crazy, hilarious, gorgeous, lovable, goofy ladies who I get to share all of these great things in common with.
Don't you wanna be a DG too?
