Cosmopolitan Magazine recently published an article listing seven women who could be the first female president. The author goes to list seven Democrats. Since they left out the party that currently holds the presidency, the majority in the House, and the majority of the Senate, I have a few more women they should really look at.
1. Rebecca Kleefisch
Rebecca Kleefisch is the 44th Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin. She is a "recovering news reporter," an NRA member, mother of two and a colon cancer survivor. She developed the annual Governor's Small Business summit and chairs the Governor's Task Force on Minority Unemployment. The Faith and Freedom Coalition recognized her with the "Courage in Leadership" award. Also given a "Woman of Exceptional Courage" award from the Clare Booth Luce Institute.
2. Niki Haley
Niki Haley is the United States current ambassador to the United Nations and was appointed by President Trump. The former Tea Party member was involved in numerous organizations, including when she became president of the National Association of Women Business Owners in 2004. She served as Governor of South Carolina from 2011-2017. She was the first female and Indian-American to serve as Governor of South Carolina. Her most notorious moment came after the Dylann Roof shooting in 2015 when she called for the removal of the Confederate Flag on the state capitol.
3. Kellyanne Conway
Kellyanne Conway is currently serving as Counselor to President Trump. Before this, she was president of a successful polling company. She clerked for a judge in DC, and she practiced law in four jurisdictions. During the election, she served as his campaign manager making her the first woman to ever manage a successful presidential campaign.
4. Marsha Blackburn
Marsha Blackburn is currently serving as a congressman for the state of Tennessee. She also serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology in the House Energy Commerce Committee. In 2014 the Independent Women's Forum named her "Woman of Valor," and in 2016 she was named "Woman of the Year" by the Independent Women's Forum.
These are just four examples of intelligent, qualified, and experienced conservative women that Cosmo and many others often overlook. The mainstream media often forgets that their idea of feminism is not the only idea of feminism.
