So, you made it! After four years of papers, exams, late nights and way too much stress, you've finally made it through. You're onto bigger, better things now, whether that be more schooling or the career that you're finally taking your first step into. Life is going to change so much, so here are a few things that I think you should expect.

This summer is supposed to be fun! So let loose and don't worry so much about your future. That doesn't mean forget about it all together, but you've gone through four years of school; you deserve a chance to relax!

You probably had a certain group of friends for the past few years, and now that you're moving on, things will probably change in that group of friends. But that's not all bad. Was there always one person that you thought was just too much drama? Now's the time that you can choose to not be so close anymore! And honestly, from now on your past friendships are going to be much harder to keep. Don't keep any unnecessary stress in your life!

To those going to more school: it will not be like the past four years of your life. You will go through so much more stress and everything will be different. It's terrifying, but I promise, you'll be okay. Keep your goals in the back of your mind because when things get hard, you'll have to remember them to make it through.

If you're going straight to work: remember, you'll have your bad days, and you'll have your great days. If you're not happy now, you won't be happy when you're 50. So remember, you've gotta make money somehow, but always work towards doing something that you'd be okay doing for the next 20-30 years of your life.

You have been a role model for someone. No matter how close or far in age they were from you, know that they looked up to you so much. You mean the world to them. They know that if you made it through, they can too. Keep those people in the back of your mind because it would mean the world to them if you're still supporting them and being a role model even after you've left.

Try new things! You might be incredibly surprised about the things that you might enjoy. I know when I graduated, I never expected that a year later I would have written over 30 articles that I post online for the world to see, but look where I am now! I never knew that I'd actually enjoy pineapple on pizza, but since I somehow got stuck with the five people in the world that actually enjoy it, I've discovered that it's not so bad!

Finally, give yourself a pat on the back, because it's been a long journey to get here. You've got your entire life ahead of you and you're gonna do amazing things.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
