We all have that one friend (or maybe a few friends) that is always trying to grab a Snapchat selfie of whatever they are doing. They are also the person with a 10-minute long story and has at least 20 different streaks going with people at any given moment and lives to try out all the new filters every morning. In case you haven't already come to the same diagnosis, this person is a Snapchat Addict. Now this addiction isn't like any other of its kind. It hides in plain sight disguised as normal teenager behavior. But it's a silent killer leading people all over the world to think in 10-second snapshots, believe they really are dogs/cheetah/rabbits etc. and have numerous other body issues. To really understand a Snapchat addict and to help them we must enter into their mindset by taking a deep look at their everyday routine. Perhaps hidden in their daily actions will be the key to curing them.
8 A.M. Wake Up and Check Snapchat
Obviously, the first thing a Snapchat addict does when they wake up is check Snapchat and then send out a quick snap about how they are feeling that morning. They usually also take a quick minute to check out the filters for the day and check the temperature outside.
9 A.M. Class
By the time they've made it to class they have already sent out at least three selfies to friends and maybe shown off their #OOTD. And what else do they do when bored in class, but let all their closest friends know how much class sucks with a funny, sneaky Snapchat complaining about how hard life is.
11 A.M. Mid-morning Update

1 P.M. Lunch
One golden rule of a Snapchat addict is that if you eat something and don't snap it, you might as well not have even eaten it. Expect a daily lunch snap from your addict friend with some carefully posed shots of their food and be prepared for your mouth to water in jealousy. This same rule also applies to Starbucks.
2 P.M. Class/Nap time
Hanging out with your Snapchat obsessed friend in the afternoon? Be prepared to be stealth snapped as you try to take your afternoon nap between classes. If you don't like these embarrassing pics being sent to everyone you know then you are going to have to always be on your guard. Snapchat addicts can strike at any time.
3 P.M. Gym
Just like the whole food rule, the same goes for the gym. The whole point of going is to just Snapchat brag about it while you're there. Or to take funny sweaty pictures of your friends trying to work out. Gotta show people you are living that #gymrat life.
4 P.M. Post-gym

But then after gym you have to admit that you are too tired to doing anything...well anything except for Snapchat about how tired you are. As you can see, the Snapchat addict enjoys sharing every emotion and event of their day with their Snapchat group.
6 P.M. Dinner
Once again they Snapchat their meal because why not. They also spend a lot of their day trying to come up with clever captions for their snaps because that is really key to showing off a sense of humor. Not only do you want people to be jealous of your #cray life, but your witty remarks about it too.
8 P.M. Homework
Homework sucks. So instead of homework, the Snapchat lover Snapchats about how they hate homework and that somehow helps. If they aren't complaining about not wanting to do work they are Snapchatting about other forms of procrastination or once again taking embarrassing snaps of their friends.
10 P.M. Hanging with the squad
Eventually, the Snapchat addict gives up on their homework and chooses to hang with friends instead. And don't worry, you will receive a Snapchat of every funny or crazy thing that happens over the course of the night. At least the saved videos and 'screenshotted' pics of these nights will be useful for reliving the good times later.
12 A.M. Bed
It's time for the Snapchat lover to say goodnight to the world and express how exhausted they are from their super difficult day. They may send a cute selfie in their PJs or one of their perfectly made bed. This is the signal that you can expect no more snaps from them until morning. Unless something dramatic happens in the middle of the night like a fire drill.
1 A.M. Last Snap of the Day
But of course, that bedtime snap was not the last because the true Snapchat addict can't stop as long as they are awake. So if you are the roommate to a Snapchat addict be prepared to see the flash of their phone late into the night as they chat with friends.
Now this was just a sample of the daily events of the life of a Snapchat addict, but it gives you a pretty good idea of how this simple little app has taken over their lives. Unsure about whether you live with a Snapchat addict? Well, if they send more than 20 snaps a day or spend more than 30 minutes trying to perfect a snap selfie then there's a pretty good chance you've got an addict on your hands. Sadly, there is no real cure except for just hoping that Snapchat gets replaced by a newer, cooler app.
