Well it's February, which means St. Valentine is at it again. That's right, it's Valentines Day. The time when pink and red throws up all over the place and Hallmark makes a ton of money on cheesy cards. Candy sales go through the roof and people fall into chocolate commas. People in relationships feel even more ~in love~, which is stupid because you should feel that everyday and those who are single and ready mingle just feel alone AF. Here are 8 ways you can have the best bae-entines day or gal-entines day.
1. Make yourself some dinner.
It is almost impossible to get a reservation at a restaurant. When on any other Tuesday you could walk in and get a table right away. So forget a fancy dinner and make one for yourselves. It'll be a better bonding experience and you'll learn something new.
2. Ice-Cream it out.
If fact just forget dinner all together and go get ice cream. It's cheaper and it'll make you feel less gross then a giant meal.
3. Sing your heart out.
Grab your girls or your boo or both and an old cd. Blast your favorite throwback song and sing along at the top of your lungs. Or lipsync and put on a show. Take turns, laugh, and make memories.
4. Have a party.
Is there really any better way to spend a holiday then with a bunch of your friends, loud music, snack foods, dancing and crazy lights? The answer is No.
5. Movie night.
Make some popcorn, cuddle up on the couch and watch an old favorite. Rom-com or chick flick not needed.
6. Spa night.
Sip on cucumber water and paint your nails, or apply a face mask, deep condition your hair. Whatever you need to do to make sure you're as ~pampered~ as you deserve.
7. Y-O-G-A
Take some time to yourself to meditate. Relax your breathing and give yourself a break from everything you have to do. Don't want to be alone? Have friends over and throw in a yoga dvd and relax together.
8. Photoshoot.
Tape a fun sheet to your wall and grab a camera (or phone). Throw on a cute outfit, put on your favorite makeup and take some bomb pics for Insta. Doing this with friends or bae will definitely provide some laughs and cute pose opportunities! Don't forget the candids.
Honestly, it doesn't matter what you do, at the end of the day Valentines Day is all about spending time with the people you love.
