Some people are naturally healthy, radiant beings. Then there's the rest of the world.

We all really want to be healthy, truly. We want to take good care of ourselves and to get into our best physical shape ever, but that can be really hard sometimes. For those of us out there who aren't natural born morning gym goers, a day can typically look like this:

1. When you wake up, ready to start your day the healthy way

2. So you decide to go to the gym before class because you're healthy and other healthy good looking people go to the gym in the morning.

3. After ten minutes of running... you remember you hate the gym and all the people inside of it.

4. After the gym, it's time to get ready for class. And now you're READY for the day because you're healthy!

5. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but you're late to class so you grab an iced coffee and a bagel... wait no. You can't do that anymore. You need a juice instead. You'll spend the same amount of money on a juice. That's fine. You love.... vegetables.

6. That juice totally kept you full through your lecture and you're so happy about it. You don't want a cinnamon raisin bagel. Nope.

7. Class is finally over and you have a quick break to grab lunch before your next class. The salad bar it is! More vegetables! This isn't impossible.

8. The salad bar as a line out the door but you're not mad. Nope. You totally have time to sit down and eat your leafs.

9. Those eight bites of salad you had before class totally fueled you. Completely. You're not hungry at all.

10. After classes, you learned you have three tests, four essays, and ten chapters to read this week. But even though you really want that cinnamon bagel to feel better, you know you're a healthy person and this is going to be worth it.

11. Then your friends invite you out to dinner. And you decide to go because you can just get a salad. It's whatever. You like lettuce.

12. And the menu comes around. You don't want their organic greek kale salad. You want the chicken sandwich. And the french fries. Or the pizza. Or the burger. Maybe the pasta with extra cheese...

13. You can totally get something besides a salad. Salads aren't the only healthy thing. Plus you worked out this morning which totally counts as eating a salad for dinner, so you order whatever you want anyway.

14. Your friends order dessert but none for you. You just watch them eat it. And you're fine.

15. But then you have a bite or two or three or half of it.

16. And then you get back to your place, feeling a little guilty. But you also have so much homework to do. It's really overwhelming and instead of actually doing the work you just... avoid it.

17. You totally know you're not in the fault. You went to the gym. You drank a juice. You ate a salad.

18. But then your friends lecture you since you've been preaching about being healthier and you don't care anymore. You want the bread. The cookies. The calories.

19. Until you do care... and you feel really bad about your moment of rebellion.

20. And you need to be sad about your love of food and laziness but you need to be healthier.

21. Then you remember how much you love yourself and you're proud of yourself for trying.

22. Now it's time for bed. You'll do better tomorrow.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
