Wearing Makeup is pretty essential to my everyday life. I wear makeup almost every day. If I'm going to Starbuck's, class, or even just a road trip, I'm usually wearing a full face. This includes eyeshadow, contour, and lashes, of course. Getting ready on time is very uncommon. I usually require about two hours to get ready.
Being obsessed with makeup is brought into my relationship quite a bit. My boyfriend knows about each Morphe Brush I own. He's aware my sponges have to be wet before using them, which he's volunteered to go do for me a few times. He understands the importance make up has on my life; however, he always knows how much it consumes my life.
So I asked my boyfriend what it's like dating a girl who loves makeup and here's his response:
She’s Late For Everything
Getting to places on time is actually a joke. She will try on several outfits before she even does her eyeshadow to make sure they match. She has to decide whether she is going to wear pink eyeshadow or brown and depending on the colors she will have to clean her brushes as well.
James Charles, Jeffree Star, and Jaclyn Hill
I've heard all the names a million times. I've watched hundreds of videos with her. Her favorite is probably when Jeffree Star said, “In 2019, we're vaccinating our kids." I have heard that lines thousands of times. Of course, she is subscribed to all of their YouTube channels. I listened to James Charles, Jaclyn Hill, and Jeffree Star over and over again, but she's listened to me screaming during football games, so it's pretty even.
Going Places
Going places is a lot harder than you think. I have to tell her two to three hours in advance if we plan on going anywhere and God forbid it be somewhere important. You also have to counterbalance in time for her to clean her make up brushes as well.
Dating a girl who loves her make up just as much as she loves you is sometimes a hassle. It can include running late, listening to make up videos on repeat, and cleaning a brush here and there. If you can get through those things, than anything else with her is possible!
