Meghan Reily

1. They can fix anything.

A country man is a jack of all trades. I don't know how they do it, but they sure do know how to fix just about anything. If you have something that needs to be fixed, for instance a flat tire, he will sure be on his way in a jiffy to fix what needs to be done.

2. They are respectful.

One of the best qualities a country man has is respect. He is a true southern gentleman, and knows how to treat his lady. Dating someone who shows true respect for everyone around him, is someone who every lady deserves.

3. They know their manners.

Country guys were raised with manners. You can always count on a country guy to go out of their way for just about anyone. He knows to say "yes mam" and "no mam", and will show a significant amount of kindness.

4. They know how to work hard.

Being with a guy who is hardworking shows his true character. You can tell that he is passionate about what he is working for. He shows you that no matter what you want in life, working hard pays off. My country guy has taught me so many things in life that hard work can lead to.

5. They will take you on adventures.

Whether it be hunting, fishing, or camping; country guys will teach you so many new things in life. Dating a guy who loves the outdoors and nature is someone to truly love.

6. They know how to grill.

Men that know how to grill a good steak is such a great gift. Not only is a man that can cook super sexy, but it is also a way to be introduced to new experiences in life.

7. Their mamma raised them right.

By the way country guys treat you and others, you know that their mamma raised them right. They are beyond adventurous, respectful, and know how to treat their lady. Without their mamma, who knows what kind of man he would of come to be?

8. They cherish you.

They believe that every lady should be treated like a princess. He will treat you like the Queen you are and make sure that you are 100% satisfied in life. He will admire everything you do and the woman you are.

9. They love family.

If they aren't working hard, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with you, you know that they are with their family. They love spending time with their family because they are very family-oriented.

10. A country man is a manly man.

Country guys are the manliest men you will ever come across. They are very determined and know so much about life. They aren't afraid to get dirty, they can fix just about anything, and they are proud of the man they have become. Dating a country man is the greatest thing that God has brought into my life. Not only does he show a significant amount of love and respect for myself, but he loves mine and his family, our Lord, and has taught me so much about the world.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
