Dating 101: This one - Part 2

So let’s not talk about my sex-life for once. As exciting as it was previously…and I mean in a previous life…*insert big smiles emoticon* it has changed, and so has my thoughts about dating, and the future. I know, somewhere in the world, a fellow sister or mister just dropped their wine glass, or a bottle of tequila.

Yes. The magic cape was put back into the closet a couple months ago. I’ve dated a lot of guys and I’ve “dated” a lot of people-if you catch my drift, but you knew that already. Carrying on with the story…I met him. He was different from any guy I’ve ever dated, but I was so attracted to him and the fact he downed mozzarella sticks like a champ. He was dapper, I was grunge. He liked designer, I shopped at Urban. He liked GaGa, I liked Katy. He lived in Brooklyn, I lived in Queens. So there were differences, but we were still one in the same emotionally…not to sound like a bag of corn chips.

Yeah, we’ve had our ups and downs. There has been a lot moment where I look at him and I can see that future. I don’t know if I’m jumping in too quickly, but I love the feeling of being with him. He puts a smile on my face, he supports me, he wants the best for me and looks at my imperfections as perfections. I’ve never had that before and it’s something I cherish.

Men aren’t all that bad. Yes, my stories have been about the bad, but I wanted to share the good. I believe that life has put in these shitty situations until I’ve learnt my lesson about dating. Well, I guess I’ve learned my lesson. Ha…If any of you are dating someone who does this for you, consider yourself lucky. If not, you’re just going through your obstacles and believe me, you will find them.

Look at me, the black widow actually found someone to say the line: “hello lover”.

Xo.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
