Spice Up Your Love Life With These 10 Creative Date Ideas

Maybe you've been dating the same person for several years, or perhaps you have a first date this week. You might typically go out to eat or see a movie. I can get quite bored of doing the same things and want variety. Here are 10 date ideas to spice up your dates.

1. Go rock climbing

If you're a little adventurous, this date would be perfect for you. Get to know your date while getting exercise. Depending on how gutsy you are you could do it outside on a mountain or inside on an artificial wall.

2. Go to a nature conservancy

Take a break from technology and crowds of people and venture into the great outdoors. You can get to know your date with some magnificent scenery.

3. Read your favorite passage from your favorite book to each other

What your favorite book is can say a lot about you. It'll lead to a great conversation, and you'll learn a lot about each other in the process. You can go to your favorite coffee shop and have a drink while you chat.

4. Have a dance party

Crank your music up and get silly. Play your favorite songs, show off your best dance moves, and dance it out with your date.

5. Paint together

Painting is relaxing, and it'll cool your nerves if it's your first date. You can make it more fun by trying to paint each other.

6. Cook together

You could pick out your favorite dish and cook it for your date. Have your favorite food with your partner, or you could try to prepare a new meal with your date.

7. Recreate your first date

Maybe you've been together for a while, and things are getting a little stale. Why not recreate the date where it all began? You can relieve those times and sparks will fly. If your first date wasn't the best, you could recreate your favorite date.

8. Go on a date without technology

When I go out on a date, I hate it if my boyfriend is on his phone. Have a date where you don't touch your phone or any technology the whole time. You can focus better on what your partner is saying.

9. Go somewhere haunted

Chances are there are some urban legends or haunted spots in your hometown. Take pictures there and see if you can spot a ghost with your date.

10. Go thrift shopping

You can make it a competition to see who can find the best item. It's an inexpensive date, and it's a great conversation starter.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
