Most men, especially in today's dating scene, stray away from the "old-fashioned" girls, but other men might actually prefer them. Despite what you may be thinking, dating an old-fashioned kind of gal actually has many perks. Sure, we aren't always up to date on the latest trends and we may be a little quirky, but you'll learn to love us. In fact, just the other day, I asked my boyfriend of almost two years, "Hey, do you think I'm kind of old-fashioned?"

He responded, "Yes and I love it."

Are you contemplating dating an old-fashioned girl and need to know what it'll be like? Are you currently dating one? Are you not quite sure if you're dating one and want to find out? Are you a girl trying to figure out if you're considered "old-fashioned" in today's dating scene?

If you're dating an old-fashioned chick or just really want to know what it would be like to date one, there are 15 indisputable qualities that make old-fashioned ladies stand out from the rest:

1. She will be a fabulous cook.

Waffles in the morning? Sure. Spaghetti for dinner? No prob. Homemade pie for dessert? You got it.

2. She will respect herself.

You definitely won't see her posting revealing photos on Instagram. She's not a sloppy drunk. She doesn't have to be seen by everyone. She will only give her time to those who deserve it. She won't put up with any nonsense.

3. She will respect you.

Your life. Your friends. Your family. Your belongings. Your thoughts. All of it.

4. She will be simplistic.

She doesn't need a big fancy date. She doesn't need fancy gifts.

5. So, the little gestures are the ones that mean the most.

Just flowers and maybe a big smooch.

6. She'll have a cute, weird, kinda vintage wardrobe.

A paradoxical mixture of 1950's housewife and 1970's hippy. Kind of weird, but kind of perfect.

7. She will have high expectations for your relationship.

She will want you to be respectful, hardworking, and committed. But, she won't ask you to be anything she isn't. She'll be respectful, hardworking, and committed, too.

8. She will have the lamest jokes and use the weirdest words.

Nevertheless, she will be fabulous.

9. Family will mean everything to her.

So respect them and love them, too.

10. She doesn't need to be seen by everyone.

Just by you and the ones who matter.

11. She will have a genuine heart.

Compassion will be her thing.

12. She will be introspective.

She will be able to reflect on herself and your relationship with the greatest of ease. She's always thinking of ways she can improve.

13. She will keep her mind busy with healthy habits.

And that helps a healthy relationship blossom.

14. She won't give in to social norms.

She's not a cliché. And you shouldn't treat her like one.

15. She will have fun.

After all, old-fashioned doesn't mean boring.

Ya gotta love us old-fashioned gals.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
